Success for several club members at the Enfield Borough Sports and Culture Awards Evening yesterday.

Congratulations to Natalia Evangelou and Ryan on their awards in the “Young Leader of the Year” category. Both play pivotal roles at our junior Satellite Clubs as assistant coaches and Natalia recently passed her Level 1 Volleyball Coaches Award.

Ryan won another award, this time alongside Rhys Chung, in the “Young Performer of the Year” category. Ryan Poole represented England at U17 & U19 levels, both indoor and on the beach, last year and was voted as 1 of the best 6 players at the NEVZA Championships. Rhys has played for our men’s 2nd team this year and will play for Boswells U16 team in the National Final later this month. He is also on the cusp of the England U17s squad – all achieved in the 16 months since he first took up the sport !

Eric Hill was Highly Commended in the “Adult Volunteer of the Year” category for his tireless work at Southgate Junior Satellite Club. Eric, too, plays a pivotal role in making the club such a success.

Sean Poole was Highly Commended, and turned out to be the Overall Winner, in the “Dedication to Sport and Culture” category for his work in setting up and running 3 Junior Satellite Volleyball Clubs in the borough.
